Alison Liney



Alison Liney is originally from Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, and has been dancing professionally in Philadelphia since her graduation from Temple University in 2013. While earning her BFA in performance and choreography, she was lucky enough to train with incredible teachers and artists such as Merian Soto, Kun-Yang Lin, Ellie Goudie-Averill, Jillian Harris, Beau Hancock, Tiffany Mills, and Kyle Abraham among many others. Post graduation, she became an "Enchanter", a member of the Philadelphia-based Enchantment Theatre Company, and has performed and choreographed numerous shows. She has also taught 4th grade classes in the Philadelphia School District, helping the students learn important social and life skills through the beauty and magic of physical theater. Alison has also been a member of Upper Darby Summer Stage since 2005, and has gone from performer to choreographer on several shows, the most recent being “Elliot and the Magic Bed”. This will be Alison’s first full season with BDCS, and she can’t wait to see what the year has in store!



Why Should You Come to the Maggie Rogers Masterclass?


BDCS Workshops are FUN! Students get to learn new movement styles and techniques that expand their learning in regular weekly classes.  They also get to learn a fun themed combinations they can share with family and friends for weeks to come!


All BDCS  students are invited to our monthly workshops.  Students attending get to meet new dance friends at these workshops and build new friendships and bonds with other students their age that will last a life time!


Each workshop hosted by BDCS brings a new instructor, new style, new experiences for students to get a little outside of their comfort zone and build confidence within themselves and their art in small doses.   "Growth does not sit in comfort!"
